Biography 

Bolia Matundu known as ‘BM’ from The Democratic Republic of Congo is a talented and hardworking individual who amazed many people throughout his student life in various London schools earning him the prestigious prize for Student of the Year among so many thousands of students. He launched into a musical career by entering Carshalton College, London and obtained a diploma in Music Technology in 2012. He later formed a band called DRT, in collaboration with two of his friends who wrote songs together. Despite the success his band had at the time, the band separated but BM continued chasing his dreams as a solo artist. 

BM makes use of the many advantages that he has, in belonging to a country with a rich sound, thanks to its cultural diversity. He knows and fully understands despite the influence of his adoptive country, that the mixing of two well established cultures will result in something considerable. He went on to exploit commercial musical style, placing the sound of his voice in the forefront with words in Lingala. This language is
presently one of the four national languages of his native land and there is no doubt that the music and the songs he produces will be accepted globally. 

BM is ardently poised to becoming the Congolese artist who will convincingly succeed in making Lingala (the national language of his country) a global musical language. He has produced a track which was used for the Specsavers hearing advert which was aired for two years nationwide. Armed with a university degree in Commercial Music
and looks to push his music for the world to hear. His music production skills are brilliant as he can produce almost any type of genre. He is well versed in different genres of music like commercial music,, film music, pop, R&B, dubstep, afro- beats, hip-hop, and fantastic sound design pieces. Working under pressure and delivering fast services is one of BM’s strengths. He won the Best song award at the Congolese Achievement Awards in 2013 with his afro-beats masterpiece ‘Lelo Eko Yinda’. He is also an inspiration to children while teaching kids how to play the piano. 

BM is a perfectionist whose music skills which he learned from University allowed him to better himself in the music industry. He has released songs such as Ebebi, Makolongulu, Baloba, Mamacita, Whine It Slow, Rosalina, Bi Landa Landa, Kanda,
How Low (Anita) and Ye Le which all went viral. His song Rosalina is one of his biggest hits transcending beyond the borders of DRC up to airing on BBC news
